Achievements

He was apart of a team to climb mount Erebus Antarctica's active volcano and claimed land of Antarctica. He's achievements include mapping and exploring Antarctica. Douglas Mawson was awarded the Clarke medal in 1936. He was also giving the second earned heros on their return. He completed the longest antarctica man– hauling sledge journey of 122 days and with his friend professor edge worth David. He coped with hunger, falling down crevasses, frost bite and exhaustion. He coved 42% of the continent. He claimed it to Britain and australia. He also discovered that in the dog liver was toxic
